What about a business budget? How do I market? How do I get funding? What about hiring? Will I have patients? Or even how do I pay myself once I start making money? 

As physicians we went through medical school, residency and fellowship, we were taught the intricacies of patient care and along the way when I had questions about how to start a practice, all I heard was don’t worry about the business learn how to be a good doctor. Does this sound familiar?  Well that’s all fine and yes I became a good doctor but when I graduated I had no idea how to start a practice or even where to start.

About me: After residency, i moved to a brand new city. Within 1 year I had not only started my medical practice but had grown that practice from 0 patients and 0 dollars of revenue to thousands of patients and collecting 400k dollars over the first 6 months.  Within 5 years I scaled that same business to grossing 1.2 million dollars and treated thousands of patients and the best part, I did it without burning myself out. I didn’t work 80-100 hours a week. You might be asking but how?
